We feel it is so important that everyone know how special Jazzy was to us. We adopted Jazzy from Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue in Sioux City, Iowa. She came to our family in Nov 2015 at the age of 11. We had just suddenly lost our 11 year old lab a few months earlier. We wanted a dog that no one would give a second look at. We couldn’t stop looking at her once we met her. she was a stubborn soul, we were much more smitten than she was initially. she had been surrendered to the rescue by her long time family as they had no time for her. she was a “free range” dog essentially, as she had grown up in a campground in northwest Iowa. She loved the snow and the heat. She quickly wrapped us around her chunky black paw and we were under her control. We lived to please her every single day. She called the shots and we were happy to accommodate her. We loved her more than you could imagine. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with a fairly advanced oral melanoma in March 2017. RIP sweet Princess.
